Remember Tiny Tower? We placed it at #8 in our Best Games of 2011 list, and Apple flat-out awarded it their iPhone Game of the Year. Apparently Zynga, the publisher of such titles as Words With Friends and FarmVille, noticed the game as well, and they’ve made a pretty shameless clone of it, called Dream Heights.
Tiny Tower developer NimbleBit has responded by posting a not-so-subtle jab at the mobile/social giant, which you can see below. Making the story even more interesting, apparently Zynga tried to acquire Nimblebit in the past but was rebuffed.
Dream Heights is only available on the Canadian App Store now, but it will be released to the rest of the world before long. Twitter is abuzz with gamers, developers, and journalists voicing their opinion about the controversy. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
