Final Fantasy Record Keeper is a free-to-play mobile RPG that stars heroes from across years of Final Fantasy games. It’s currently in soft launch on the Canadian Google Play store, and according to Pocket Gamer’s early (and ongoing) impressions, Square-Enix may have a keeper on its hands (get it?).
At first glance, Final Fantasy Record Keeper looks like the ill-fated, IAP-ridden Final Fantasy All The Bravest – baddies on the left, heroes on the right, sprites all over the place. Fret not though, this is a completely different beast. What we have here is a more traditional Final Fantasy battle mechanic – an Active Time Battle (ATB) system, abilities and magic to junction, and limit breaks of sorts.

Silly Sausage in Meat Land is the latest game from Nitrome. This awesomely-named action game apparently plays like a mix between Retry and the old Nokia game Snake. Take a look at AppSpy’s video footage of the game, and keep an eye out for Silly Sausage’s release this week.
uCool’s action RPG Heroes Charge (which was advertised during Superbowl XLIX) is at the center of a kerfuffle involving clones and copyright. Chinese publisher Lilith Games claims Heroes Charge bears a resemblance to its own game, Soul Clash, that’s too similar to be coincidental. And the “Cloneception,” as Touch Arcade calls it, doesn’t even stop there.
Blizzard has taken legal action against Lilith Games in Taiwan for copying characters and settings from Warcraft. So, yeah, this situation is just nutty. It’s basically this Penny Arcade strip come to life.
