According to a developer blog, the PC/ Flash game The Binding of Isaac may be heading for iOS in the form of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth.
We say it “may” be coming to iOS because Edmund McMillen doesn’t sound sure it’ll work on touch screen devices. The game is definitely coming to various other platforms but, (and we quote): “we are also looking into an iOS version if it’s not garbage.”
The Binding of Isaac is an action-adventure game that plays kind of like the dungeons in The Legend of Zelda, but each room is randomly generated. Rebirth is being developed by Nicalis, the company behind the remakes of Cave Story and VVVVVV for the Nintendo 3DS eShop.
While we’re on the subject of Mr. McMillen’s work, we should mention that he’s also a member of Team Meat, the company working on a Super Meat Boy game for iOS. We haven’t heard anything about that game in a while, but we hope it’s still in the works.
