Looks Like New iPods are On the Way

Apple hasn’t updated the iPod line in what seems like forever. A new hint that an update may be en route came when an eagle-eyed Mac Rumors reader found an image of iPods that don’t exist (yet) in the latest iTunes update. From Mac Rumors:

The new colors include a darker blue for the iPod touch, a new gold or beige color for the iPod nano, and a brighter pink color for the iPod shuffle.

Apple has not updated its iPod color lineup in several years, most recently shifting the previous “slate” color to “space gray” back in 2013. Apple has typically updated its iPod lineup during the month of September, although it is unclear whether these new colors are actually in the works and what their release timeframe might be.

Earlier this month LEGO and Rovio announced LEGO Angry Birds, a series of playsets coming in 2016 to coincide with the big budget CGI movie. Now we’ve got our first look at Jason Sudeikis’ Red in LEGO form.

In case you missed it, Sony and Rovio amassed quite a cast for the Angry Birds movie, including Sudeikis as the red bird, Josh Gad as the yellow one, Danny McBride as black bird (singing in the dead of night), David Hader pulling pig duty and Peter Dinklage as the Mighty Eagle.
