Turn-based grid battler Ticket to Earth is finally out on mobile. I first saw this promising game what seems like a lifetime ago. In Ticket to Earth, the board grid is played like a strategic match-3 game. Connect the tiles to increase / trigger certain powers. The strategy involved is where the player under control ends up. Too close to the bad guys and they will strike. Too far and the player can’t strike them.
Ticket to Earth is a good strategy game that melds a couple styles that work well on mobile together. The game play time is a bit long for a casual player, but just right if you like strategy games and are willing to devote a little time in a play session.
Golf Zero is the kind of game that must have come out of a dare or a high. Combine a golf game with a platformer and throw in bullet time just for the heck of it. In the multiple holes the player has up to three shots to get the ball in the hole while jumping from platforms and generally shooting the ball (magically) while in the air. Not sure how that works, but this game, miraculously does work.
It’s inventive, fun, lots of levels, and best of all it’s free to play with ads.
Death Road to Canada is the kind of game I’d love to see more of. Not too hard, not too easy, highly replayible, and funny. The story based game has the player possibly teaming up with others on a trip to Canada. Seems simple, right. Oh yeah, there are zombies everywhere and you have to loot to survive the trip.
The game has a randomly generated story with randomly generated scenes that present decisions that change the course of the game. Need to figure out when it’s safe to try and loot, and when to keep on going. Well done all around fun game.
