UPDATE: April 1st, 2010
You can now get your skate on, your grind on, and your faceplant on, all without getting off the couch. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is available now on the App Store for the premium price of $9.99. We'll have a review soon.
Extreme sports fans who have ollied their way through Skater Nation and Mike V: Do or Die Skateboarding and still want more are in for a treat. Yesterday, Tony Hawk himself confirmed via Twitter that Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 is coming soon to the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Details are scarce, but the screenshot shows a D-pad and trick button control set-up. With Activision at the helm, this comes as little surprise to us after the massive and sustained success of Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies.
We are anxious for further details on the title and will share them with you once they come in. In the meantime, get pumped to drop into the App Store for this Playstation classic. Hopefully it will be the radical ride we've been patiently holding out for.

Screenshots look excellent, this is by far the best Tony Hawk game (along with the first, of course). Before it got way too control-intensive. Even as it is, I wonder if it will be hard to pull of a lot of the more complicated combos and manuals, ect with the game on the Iphone/iPod Touch. Still gonna buy it regardless though!
There are a lot of skating games that beat tony hawks to it, but none of them live up to be as good as this looks. Can't wait for more information on it!
this looks pretty crapp imo.. poor graphics just like Skate it. You can totally tell they are straight port and not developed for the iPhone
Yeah, but I don't think companies are willing to spend what it takes to port over old games properly, they usually just want to make some quick cash for a product that is 10 years old. We just have to take what we can get for now I guess.
OMFG!!!!! this is just great! wat ive been waitin for agesssss!! aswell for SC :D
This is gonna be quite awesome! Of course the graphics look a bit outdated, that's because it's a port of an outdated game :) Sure, they could've shined them up a bit, but that's not really necessary in my eyes. Gameplay and smoothness comes first in this case.
A hit!
excited, but I wish it was an original developed for the iPhone game, but that doesn't mean it won't be great.
I always thought tony hawk 2 was the best in the series. Hopefully it will work well with touch controls.
After playing for a few days, this game is great!
