Good news, everybody! After teasing us with an iPhone-sized wallpaper of The Secret of Monkey Island, tonight Lucasarts lifted back the grog-stained curtain to reveal The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition.
This appears to be the same edition of the game that came out recently for Xbox Live Arcade, including the option to switch between fancy new art and the old, classic art. A new soundtrack and the full voice over are also included, according to the iTunes product description.
We're all over this game like scurvy on a pirate's breath, so stay tuned for a full review.

This is superb! The only thing I don't like is the double tap secondary command (to "talk to" for example) which you have to do far too quickly on the iPhone 3GS (due to its faster framerate no doubt). Should have had a double-tap speed setting in the options. Brilliant in every other way.
