SimCity Deluxe Coming Soon From EA Mobile

News Posted by Andrew Podolsky, March 18th, 2010

EA Mobile has just released the first info and screenshots for their upcoming sequel to SimCity, called SimCity Deluxe. Click ahead for your first look.

According to a fact sheet included with the screenshots, EA Mobile says that SimCity Deluxe will improve on the user interface from the last game-- a feature that tops our most wanted list as well. Other improvements include visual enhancements "making this game closer in visual style to SimCity 4," as well as four different seasons with related disasters, seven scenarios, and seven established starter cities.

EA Mobile's been taking the iPhone very seriously as a platform, so we think this game could be a big improvement over the first SimCity. EA has recently impressed us with The Simpsons Arcade, Need for Speed Shift, Rock Band, and many more great games, so we have high hopes for SimCity Deluxe. Also, we have to assume this game will be designed with the iPad in mind, too. Check out more screenshots of this game over to the right.

If it have an option to change the color to the interface then this is really good news for me!

Yes, that strikes me as very, very green.

For God's sakes I hope they at least make an option to change language in this one. The first defaults to whatever the iPod is set to (in my case, Japanese) with no options to change it in game, which is an enormous pain and really killed the first one for me.

I just want them to release the original Sim City on the iphone. Or better yet, make a new sim city game in that old school style, but with all the conventions of the newer ones. I think those would play better on the iPhone than this isometric view...
