Need For Speed Undercover Delayed Until March

News Posted by Steve Palley, January 14th, 2009

And now from the Not So Awesome News Department... EA Mobile's pushing back Need For Speed Undercover until early March. Bogus!

Here's what our contact said in an email:

"We haven’t heard a final date from Apple yet, but EA plans to launch in early March. EA wants to make sure the game is as polished as possible before release."

This is a big, big, big game for EA Mobile, so we can understand the need to make sure it comes off without a hitch... but now the game will be coming out a full four months after the console releases. So much for co-marketing.

Incidentally, we still have HD video of the game, but EA Mobile has asked us to hold onto it until they give us the go-ahead or the game appears on the App Store. Now that we know about the delay, we'll ask for permission to post it again.

That is indeed Not So Awesome News.

You know, sometimes I wonder why we even keep that department open. All that seems to come out of it is bad news.

Aww no way, Steve?! What a huge disappointment. Sigh, what can one do but continue to wait, and hope.

Sorry guys... you don't get exclusive video previews by breaking media embargos.
