Infinity Blade Release Date and Price Announced

News Posted by Chris Reed, November 29th, 2010

Chair and Epic Games have just sent some concrete details about their upcoming action RPG Infinity Blade. The game will go live on the App Store on Thursday, December 9, and will cost $5.99. They also noted that it's a universal app, so it will play in native resolution on an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad. They also released eight crisp new screenshots, which we've posted below.

We also learned that when Infinity Blade is first released, it will be single player only, but they're already hard at work on a free update that will allow multiplayer through Game Center. Also, the game will only work on iPads and third- and fourth-generation iPhones and iPod Touches.

Infinity Blade is notable not only because it's being developed by the gurus behind the Xbox Live Arcade game Shadow Complex, but also because it will be the first game to use the iOS version of the Unreal Engine 3, which powered the gorgeous Epic Citadel demo.

No one is with you. "wah, I want a new device, but I can't afford one". TOO BAD! that's a ridiculous as demanding that MS gives you a new 360 to replace your xbox. That's how it works. You want the next gen titles, you pay the money.

    Please answer!
    Will this require WiFi?
I understand that it will for things like GameCenter, but does the whole thing use WiFi?!

Apple wont let you trade your ipod for a newer one...... Apple is a buisness and a smart one by the looks of it. If you want a new ipod you're going to have to buy a new one or break your old one if you have a fresh warranty
