Slightly disappointing to us was the fact that this game essentially takes the two DS screens and lays them one on top of the other for the iPhone's vertical viewing space. We would have preferred a sexy landscape viewing mode.
The touch controls are mostly the same as the DS, with you tapping on evidence and dialogue boxes to advance the copious amounts of storyline. People who like slower-paced adventure games will enjoy getting into the story and characters (who star in many, many subsequent sequels on the DS), but the anime graphics may make people think there's a bit more action involved than there actually is.

Excellent!!Any idea of a release date?
This is one of my favourite DS series! Great to have it on the iPhone, except that I've heard that it requires a constant 3G/WiFi connection to play. Is this true? If so that really sucks for iPod touch owners like me.
As far as I can tell there's no need for an internet connection at all while playing... what an odd rumor.
Well, it's already out in Japan and it gets all of the cases off the internet, but there was some confusion over whether it downloaded or streamed them.
OK. Well I saw this played on an iPod Touch with no active internet connection (far as I could tell) so I am hoping they all come packaged with the initial download of the US version.
I would love to know when this is to be released!!Its one of my fav games of all time!!:-)
This is soooo exciting! I hope the trend of bringing DS games to the iPhone continues, even if they do have to squash two screens into one, its well worth it!
