Ask and ye shall sometimes receive. Jim Squires from Gamezebo suggested via Twitter that a crossover between The Banner Saga and Kingdom Rush Origins would be cool. It appears Ironhide Game Studio and Stoic Studio agreed.
Effective immediately, Kingdom Rush Origins players will be able to access a new secondary hero in the second level of the game’s latest update: Bolverk the Varl. Bolverk had a small role in The Banner Saga, but (we’ve been told) may see some more screen time in the game’s impending sequel.
Nintendo just can’t stop mixing its special sauce with mobile (well, technically, Pokemon is run by The Pokemon Company, but whatever). The free-to-play 3DS game is heading to mobile (it’s already out in Japan), and Lonnie has taken the upcoming game for a spin. Watch it above.
If you’ve ever found yourself playing Badland and thought to yourself, “I could totally make these levels,” then you’re in luck, because an editor is coming to the game. And the beta starts today. From Touch Arcade:
Frogmind says the level editor is actually a polished-up version of the same one they used to create official levels for the game, so essentially everything in Badland was built using the same editor, which means the possibilities should be pretty endless. In order to publish a created level you’ll need to be able to beat it, and you’ll be able to browse through, play and rate other peoples’ creations as well. User-created levels can be sorted by rating, difficulty, and length and each week Frogmind will pick one special level to be added to a new “Eternal Day” that will be available on the main menu for all to access.
