Signal RP One iOS Controller Announced

A company called Signal has just announced at CES 2014 that they’ll release a Bluetooth iOS controller that looks like something you might actually want to use. It’s called the RP One, and it looks more like a console controller than any of the other iOS controllers that have hit the market so far.

The picture is just a prototype, so the final product remains to be seen. But the RP One will work for iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches. It comes with a stand, so you don’t have to worry about your phone falling over while you play. The RP One will be released in the first half of 2014 and will cost $99.

The controllers that are available now, like the Logitech PowerShell and the MOGA Ace Power are tougher sells, being priced at $99 and made with less-than-optimal build quality. They also house your iPhone, which means they don’t work with iPads, or with any future iPhones that have new form factors.
