Amazon has struggled getting their App Store and games on non-Kindle devices. Due to rules in Google Play they can’t offer their App Store on the Google Play store. But now they have an incentive to make it more enticing for users to go through the process of installing the Amazon App Store and download apps — $10,000+ in free games and apps.
Amazon is doing this by partnering with developers and paying a per-minute usage fee to the developers. Amazon makes it clear that users don’t pay anything, they foot the bill. If you have an Android device, seems like a no-brainer.

The developers of Angry Birds continue to slim down by slashing 260 jobs.
The cuts will have an impact on every part of Rovio’s organisation, except for the Angry Birds movie currently in production in North America. With 260 fewer people to pay, the company will then restructure around three “primary business areas”: games, media and consumer products.
