Pimple Popper Review

We consider anybody who reads this site to be a serious iPhone gamer. As such, you likely scoff at the concept of apps like Pimple Popper, even if it is one of the current top-selling apps. This game is as terrible as you would expect.

Pimple Popper’s gameplay is as obvious as they come: You pop pimples scattered around faces by squeezing your fingers around the pimple. All three pimples work exactly the same, the only difference being that you must swipe over blackheads first. When pinching, you can’t touch the center of the pimple. But lets be frank: We really don’t need to spell out how lame the gameplay is.

Are we sure this isn’t a Clearasil advergame?

Other issues with Pimple Popper include the terribly low-resolution graphics, rough sound effects that boil down to odd ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’, and the lack of any variation whatsoever. That said, you probably wouldn’t get past a minute of the gameplay so these other problems won’t be prolonged.

There isn’t much more to say. Stay far away from this unfortunate attempt at pre-teen humor. Even time spent clicking the download button for the lite version are precious seconds wasted.
