Increasingly, providers of luxury products and services are recognizing the iPad’s potential as a lucrative marketing tool and amenity. This week, it was announced that all guests at The Plaza Hotel, one of NYC’s most famous rooming establishments, would enjoy additional first-class treatment with the addition of a complimentary iPad in each room.
You read that right. Hot on the heels of rumors that the iPad 2 will be officially unveiled in the coming weeks comes a new report that Apple may be poised to release a third iteration of the device later this year. Can anyone say, ‘Planned Obsolescence’?
