With the Apple faithful basking in the afterglow of a successfull iPad 2 launch, it was a good week to be a member of the Cult of Cupertino. In this week’s Padvance Report, we get some hands-on-time with the new tablet, and check out several high profile new apps.

One of the unexpected stars of Apple’s March 2nd press event was GarageBand for iPad, a tablet version of the company’s beloved Mac staple. We loved everything about it and urge anyone with the music bug to give it a shot. Read our review here.

If you’ve always wanted to have a pro chef teach you how to cook, but haven’t wanted to shell out the money for cooking school, Appetites for iPad might be the next best opportunity. While we wish the innovative culinary instruction app came with a wider variety of lessons, we generally appreciated its approach and loved its video quality. Read our review here.
