The new A-Team movie has hit the theaters, so we pity the fool who doesn’t know that the videogame tie-in just launched on the App Store. The game is actually a prequel to the movie, but all the major characters– Hannibal, B.A., Face, and Murdock– are accounted for. You can check out the game here on the App Store; it’s currently selling for $1.99.
For you young ‘uns, the A-Team is a group of ex-U.S. Army Special Forces who are on the run from the military after being framed for a crime they didn’t commit. As any group of wronged heroes would do, they decide to become mercenaries who help out people in need as they try to stay one step ahead of the military police.
The A-Team game comes with 20 levels set in a variety of locations. MMA fans will be pleased to hear that the game features a voice-over from Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, who plays B.A. in the movie. Each character has a unique ability that you’ll have to use to get through the game, from B.A.’s fighting prowess to Face’s grenade skills.
At the moment the game is only available in iPhone and iPod Touch format, but an iPad-specific version will be released in the coming weeks. We’ll have a full review soon, but in the meantime you can play a Flash demo of the game here.
