Plants Vs. Zombies 2 Soft Launching Today

Plants Vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time has been delayed a couple of times, but Polygon reports that it’s “soft launching” today in Australia and New Zealand. The current release date for the rest of the world is still a vague “later this summer.”

Geographically-limited soft launches are common for server-based games, as they allow publishers and developers to test their servers and tweak the game’s systems in response to real-world use. How smoothly the soft launch goes will determine when the game is rolled out to the rest of the world.

The story doesn’t note which platforms the game is soft launching on, but it’s coming out for a number of systems and will feature cross-platform game saves. For more details on Plants Vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time, read the full article on Polygon.

  1. There are lots of pretty expensive IAP in this, hopefully there won’t be a point where they are necessary. Hopefully they’ll release a PC version I can just buy the game without all this IAP B.S.
