Peter Molyneux’s ‘Godus’ is Now Available

The noted game designer Peter Molyneux (of Populous, Black & White, and Fable fame) has just dropped another joint on the App Store. It’s a free-to-play game called Godus, in which you play as the Lord of All Creation. The game comes from Molyneux’s 22cans development team with an assist from DeNA. You can download it here for a cost of nothing but disk space.

The deal in Godus is that you’re God, and you get to shape a world based on your will, whether you have grandiose plans or are guided by momentary whims. You can carve out the landscape, guide civilization through the ages a la Civ Rev, and perform miracles that either help or destroy your tiny worshippers. The graphics are great, and it looks like a lot of fun.

It will be interesting to see how the game compares to Molyneux’s last iOS game, the unique Curiosity – What’s In the Cube. To find out, all you have to do is download the game.
