Jeffrey joins ngmoco after a 4 years at Sega, a stint at LucasArts as president and COO, and stops at Virgin Interactive and Electronic Arts in a 22-year career in gaming. As head of Plus+ Publishing, Jeffrey will oversee what ngmoco describes as a way for developers to access the company’s publishing tools and receive customized service, as well as expand their reach through the Plus+ Network social marketing service.

‘I am delighted to join ngmoco,’ Jeffery said in a company release. ‘It’s a very exciting time to be shaping a new games landscape with a super-talented team. With Plus+ Publishing we are going to be able to create a system for great developers to plug directly into an incredible, proven publishing framework & network technology to help accelerate their games.’

The Plus+ Network was teased by ngmoco co-founder and president Neil Young during the WWDC Keynote, marketed as a way to “harness the latest OS3.0 technology for iPhone and iPod touch games to give a powerful social network to gamers.” The service will allow gamers to compare and track their progress in participating games against others. ngmoco said they will unveil more details throughout the summer.

‘We have a long-term vision for Plus+ Network to grow to become the definitive service for iPhone and iPod touch gamers to discover games and friends, play against each other and ultimately gain success, bragging rights and rewards in the community,’ said ngmoco co-founder and COO Joe Keene in the release. ‘We are thrilled to have Simon lead the efforts on bringing partner games into the network, and help build a robust community of players.’
