The wait is almost over for Super Quickhook, the follow-up to everyone’s favorite App Store swinging platformer Hook Champ. Super Quickhook has been submitted to Apple, which means that, barring any surprises, it should arrive on the App Store in the coming days. Check out the official launch trailer after the jump.
The game is looking pretty sharp, with 16-bit-style graphics and an array of environments, from snow-covered mountains and creepy caverns to verdant green hillsides and the inevitable lava pits, for a total of 17 levels. An endless Avalanche Mode is also in the game, so you’ll be hard-pressed to run out of content.
We’re glad to see that rocket boots are back, and we spotted some new items like a snorkel that lets you survive inside the avalanche for a while, and slick pants that let you slide when you hit the ground. We’ve also been assured that the game will be full of hats.
On launch day, Super Quickhook will sell for $1.99, but after that it’ll go up to $2.99. As always, we’ll let you know as soon as it hits the App Store.
