Get Your Mug in Tag Games’ Car Jack Streets

Tag Games has announced the winner of their Get In The Game contest promoting Car Jack Streets: Marto Tonev, a Bulgarian graphic designer with a penchant for dramatic poses. We’ve gleaned a few more details about the game, too!

According to an email from Tag Games Managing Director Paul Farley, the game is “just weeks from release on the App Store.” In addition, he told us that the game’s pricing strategy “will reward rather than penalize early purchasers,” and the soundtrack “extends beyond 80 minutes of great music.” He even hinted at “taking Car Jack Streets up against [GTA] China Town Wars in the sequel!!”–a bold statement, to be sure.

We’ll post more info as we get it.

We haven’t heard much about the upcoming iPhone GTA clone Car Jack Streets since we previewed it two months ago, but developer Tag Games just announced a new promotion that might turn a few heads: one lucky entrant will end up in the game when it’s released in late March.

From the press release:

“Car Jack Streets launches for iPhone in March 2009 and Tag Games are now offering one lucky gamer the chance to ‘get in the game’. The winner of our competition will be caricatured in true Car Jack style and will also have the honour of having a mission created especially for them!…

To be in with a chance of winning simply send us a picture of yourself hanging out next to your dream car to The winner will in the judges’ view combine the best combination of gangsta pose and hot wheels!

Images must be in JPG/GIF/PNG format and be no larger than 500k. The competition closes on Monday 16th February at 12 noon GMT.”

Along with the announcement, Tag Games also released a new screenshot from the latest build of Car Jack Streets. The Car Jack Streets team includes two members of the dev crew behind the original Grand Theft Auto for PlayStation. The mobile version of the game has garnered numerous European awards since its release late last year.
