Footage Leaked of Upcoming Unreal-Powered Game

Trendy Entertainment, the people who brought the awesome Dungeon Defenders: First Wave to the iPad, have just released footage of a survival horror game they’re working on tentatively titled Afterlife: Ground Zero. The game runs on the Unreal Engine 3, and it looks downright fantastic on the iPad 2, as shown in the video below.

According to an e-mail from the developer, the game is still in the very early stages of development, so nothing in the video necessarily represents what the finished game will look like. The video is actually a tech demo made to show off the game’s graphics to their business partners, and somehow it leaked out online. So they did a slight revamp of the video and released it on their own. They specifically said that the final user interface will be totally different from what appears in the video.

Since it’s still so early in the development process, details of what the final game will include are vague, but the developers say it will be a co-op survival horror game, and they’re “aiming for different playable classes, tons of RPG elements, killer enemies,” and lots of replay value. If the finished product looks anywhere near as good as this tech demo, it could end up being one of the best looking games on the platform.
