Fling iPad Joystick Announced at CES

Are you one of those gamers who’s constantly frustrated by the lack of “tactile feedback” when playing a game on the iPad with a virtual joystick? Accessory maker Ten One Design has a potential solution: A suction cup-backed, spiral-shaped joystick that sticks to your iPad’s screen.

The Fling will be available at the end of January through Ten One Design’s website, and comes in one of three colors (Ice, Ninja, and Ultraviolet) for $24.95. It also comes with a carrying bag that doubles as a screen cleaner.

Ten One Design recommends using the Fling with three specific games: Super Mega Worm, Meteor Blitz, and Across Age– all fun titles. But we know there are many more virtual joystick games that could benefit from a real joystick, like Street Fighter IV, or Gameloft action games like Spider-Man: Total Mayhem or NOVA 2.

We hope to try out the Fling soon for ourselves, but in the meantime, check out this official video to give you an idea of how the thing looks in action.
