We’ve just gotten wind that Duke Nukem II is heading to the App Store soon. The game is a side-scrolling shoot-‘em-up that was originally released for PC 20 years ago. It was followed-up, of course, by the even-more-classic Duke Nukem 3D, but Duke Nukem II helped establish the no-nonsense hero. We don’t have an exact release date yet, but the game will cost $1.99 when it comes out. Watch the trailer below.
Duke Nukem II is being ported over by Interceptor Games, who also brought us Rise of the Triad a couple of years ago. While we weren’t crazy about that game (to say the least), the 2D side-scrolling Duke Nukem II might hold up better over time, and control better on the touchscreen.
