Deus Ex: The Fall Announced

The next Deus Ex game has just been announced, and it’s an iOS first-person shooter. The game is currently being developed by the European Square Enix mobile division, but they’re working closely with the team that made Deus Ex: Human Revolution, presumably to keep the lore straight. You can watch the developers discuss the game and see it in action in a video below.

Like Deux Ex: Human Revolution, The Fall is set in 2027, but it stars Ben Saxon, a former British SAS Mercenary who underwent a physical augmentation to become part machine. The game takes place immediately following the events of the Deus Ex novel The Icarus Effect, so that’s a good place to start if you wan to get your brain ready to take in Deus Ex: The Fall this summer. The Fall will be the first installment in a series and will cost $6.99.

  1. I’ve seen so much hate from core gamers because it’s mobile exclusive, but it looks awesome. Unless they’ve dramatically changed things, first person shooters are not as good on touch screens, but I’m sure the game itself will be great and people will adjust to touch.
