Battle Supremacy

Atypical Games, the makers of the Sky Gamblers series, does not rest on their laurels. This games drops you in a tank in World War II and pits you against all kinds of military targets. You can play through a single-player campaign or hop online to duke it out against real people. Oh, and the graphics are dynamite.

Castle Doombad

Adult Swim knows how to make a weird game, and Castle Doombad looks like it will carry on this high tradition. You play as the villain in this tale, so you kidnap a princess and have to defend your castle from heroes coming to save the day. The side-scrolling view should add a nice twist to the castle defense gameplay.

Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project

This side-scrolling shooter stars the buzz-cut ‘80s action hero that never was. Originally released in 2002, Manhattan Project pits Duke against pig cops, gator grunts, and roachoids across 8 levels in New York City. It might be worth checking out for fans of the Duke.

A year after the spectacular Joe Dangerhit the App Store comes the sequel, Joe Danger Infinity. This game has Joe cycling through crazy levels, with 20 vehicles to collect, and difficulty that cranks up the further you get.

Mega Jump 2

A sequel to the 2010 original, Mega Jump 2 is a game about— you guessed it— jumping. Leap ever higher as you collect coins and avoid cartoonish enemies. You’ll also be able to grab powerups and unlock new playable characters. It doesn’t exactly sound revolutionary, but the graphics are pretty and the gameplay looks fun. And hey, it’s free.

simian.interface

If abstract puzzle games and creepy monkeys are your idea of a good time, simian.interface is the game for you. According to the App Store description, this game was “inspired by tabletop puzzles, modern art, and cognitive psychological experiments.” Sounds like a blast.
