Battlefield 3: Aftershock Removed From App Store

EA has done the only sensible thing and removed their atrocious multiplayer game Battlefield 3: Aftershock from the App Store. If you downloaded it when it was available and try to play it now, you’ll see a server message and get stuck on an endless loading screen.

In an article about the game’s removal, IGN quotes EA as saying:

EA Mobile is committed to delivering mobile entertainment experiences that are on par with the content and quality users have come to expect from their favorite EA gaming brands. To this end, we have decided to remove Battlefield 3: Aftershock from the App Store and are currently re-evaluating the app in response to the consumer feedback we’ve received. We thank all the fans who have downloaded the game to date.

Who knows if or when we can expect the game to reappear, but if it does, we’re hoping to see a whole lot of improvements. Read our review for a full run-down of all the game’s failings and shortcomings.
