Mark this date, readers. Angry Birds has been dethroned– probably only briefly– to make room at the top of the list for one of the most classic of classic games: Tetris. Moving on down, we find many games that received our “Must Have” seal of approval (including the brand new The Sims 3 Ambitions), along with one major clunker we suggest you avoid at all costs. Scroll down to find out what.
#1: Tetris

Our Score: 3/4
Our Bottom Line: This version of Tetris is a lot of fun, especially with the new Magic mode.
#2: Angry Birds

Our Score: 4/4
Our Bottom Line: Destructive physics help make this a very charming puzzler, and the great level variety seals the deal.
#3: Stick Stunt Biker

Our Score: 2/4
Our Bottom Line: Stick Stunt Biker doesn’t bring anything new to the table, and its poorly considered UI causes more frustration than necessary.
#4: Fruit Ninja

Our Score: 4/4
Our Bottom Line: As far as simple pick-up-and-play games go, Fruit Ninja is among the best.
#5 The Sims 3 Ambitions

Our Score: 4/4
Our Bottom Line: If you’re not working the job of your dreams, consider investing in a little polygonal avatar to pick up your slack.
#6: Doodle Jump

Our Score: 3/4
Our Bottom Line: Doodle Jump is a great microgame for the right price.
#7 The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition

Our Score: 4/4
Our Bottom Line: There is no finer adventure game experience to be found anywhere on the App Store.
#8: Lite-Brite

Our Score: 1/4
Our Bottom Line: There are lots of drawing apps that are more fun than Lite-Brite. Don’t let the popular brand name fool you.
#9: Flight Control

Our Score: 4/4
Our Bottom Line: Flight Control added a few more maps as well as some new aircraft for a truly complete and must-have iPhone title.
#10: Fragger

Our Score: 4/4
Our Bottom Line: Fragger is a deviously fun game that’s easy to pick up and play.
