Looks like the pumpkin juice still hasn’t seeped out of our veins yet, as Angry Birds Halloween continues to do well on the this week’s list of the best-selling iPhone games. And Star Wars, the franchise that refuses to slow down for one nanosecond (see here and here), has a strong showing in Battle for Hoth at number six. Check out the rest of the list below.
#1: Angry Birds

Our Score: 4/4
Our Bottom Line: Destructive physics help make this a very charming puzzler, and the great level variety seals the deal.
#2: Cut the Rope

Our Score: 4/4
Our Bottom Line: Cut the Rope is a charming, challenging, and– most importantly– fun puzzle game that nearly anyone will enjoy.
#3: Fruit Ninja

Our Score: 4/4
Our Bottom Line: As far as simple pick-up-and-play games go, Fruit Ninja is among the best.
#4: Angry Birds Halloween

Our Score: 3/4
Our Bottom Line: All the fun of Angry Birds, but more challenging, and with pumpkins.
#5: Amateur Surgeon 2

Our Score: 3/4
Our Bottom Line: Amateur Surgeon 2 can be a bit repetitive, but it’s certainly not amateur.
#6: Star Wars: Battle for Hoth

Our Score: 3/4
Our Bottom Line: This Star Wars tower defense game makes adequate use of a setting that had great potential.
#7: Doodle Jump

Our Score: 3/4
Our Bottom Line: Doodle Jump is a great microgame for the right price.
#8: Skee-Ball

Our Score: 3/4
Our Bottom Line: Skee-Ball does just one thing really well, which makes it a good purchase for four quarters.
#9: Wheel of Fortune Platinum

Our Score: 2/4
Our Bottom Line: Even online multiplayer can’t save this sub-par gameshow game.
#10: Cartoon Wars 2: Heroes

Our Score: 3/4
Our Bottom Line: It’s like leading the cast of XKCD as it goes completely mental on an army of demons.
