New Assassin’s Creed Multiplayer Game Announced

Assassin’s Creed 2 Discovery just launched a few days ago, but we’re already hearing news from Ubisoft that an all-new multiplayer game is being developed.

It’s being described as a stealth-action multiplayer game that draws heavily from the Assassin’s Creed 2 console experience. Players will be able to hide, blend into crowds, and collect powerups on their quest to honorably slay their friends.

The listing on Ubisoft’s website also says that a “notoriety” feature will be added to the game that uses a global ranking system to determine your level of assassin on your way to earning the rank of “Master Assassin.”

Brand-name games have a tendency to do very well on iTunes, so it wouldn’t surprise us if this multiplayer game means Ubisoft is trying to ride a wave of AC2 sales.

We’ll be watching out for any new information on this game as it becomes available.
