There’s a chance you haven’t played KOTOR yet. That’s fine, but it’s probably something you should change if possible. Thankfully, the price for this classic action-RPG (and one of the best Star Wars stories ever told) has plummeted from $9.99 to $2.99 on iOS. If ever the there was a time to check this game out, it’s now.
Ever since the iPhone 6 Plus launched last fall, the remastered Sonic games on iOS have had some serious issues running on the hardware (we’re talking Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and Sonic CD). Sega has finally done the right thing and updated these top-notch games so they’re no longer buggy messes. Thanks, dudes.

From the writer of The Wolf Among Us comes Lifeline…, an enthralling piece of interactive fiction on iOS. The weird thing about it is it makes you wait it out while the main character sleeps or gets engaged in a task. It sounds awful, but the game pulls it off. From Pocket Gamer’s 8 out of 10 review:
The whole setup for the game aids that sense of things unfolding slowly in real-time. When you start, you’re contacted by Taylor, apparently the only survivor of a space ship crash on a distant moon. By some freak of technology, he’s managed to open a communications channel to you, and you alone.
He’s written as a believable and sympathetic human being. He has definite textual tics and mannerisms that the writer keeps spinning like a tricky set of plates.

Many gamers like having the wits scared out of them at some point. Forgotten Memories is here to server just that purpose. From the uninspired opening in which your character wakes up in a creepy place with no memory of how she got there, the game unspools in mostly smart ways. From 148Apps’s 4 out of 5 star review:
Often, Forgotten Memories feels more like an adventure game than regular survival horror, with plenty of exploration and doors to unlock. There are puzzles too, keeping you involved in all its goings on. Lighting is frequently restricted with a flashlight/torch that offers limited battery life and requires you to wait to recharge at certain points. It adds to the atmosphere well, proving quite unsettling at times. In particular, who wants to sneak around amongst a bunch of mannequins? You’ll be consistently nervous and rightly so.
