Carcassonne, an award-winning German board game that has previously been ported to Xbox Live Arcade, is now available on the App Store. The game costs $4.99 and you can purchase it by clicking right here.
In Carcassonne, players take turn laying down tiles to construct a quaint medieval landscape. Points are awarded by completing roads, towns, and fields, and by placing tiny “meeple” figures on them.
The iPhone version includes a unique solitaire mode, where you have to construct a town by yourself, meeting certain goals for road length and town size. Points are deducted from your total by wasting tiles, and you can email your final map to a friend as a challenge.
Carcassonne is a true classic no matter how you play it, and we encourage you give it a try. Our full review is coming soon.
