Namco’s recent press event didn’t have a whole lot of exciting news for iOS gamers: A TNA wrestling game, iPad versions of Ridge Racer and Ms. Pac Man, and a free Valentine’s Day skin for Pac-Man. The biggest news, to us, was that Puzzle Quest 2 will be receiving an update with Retina graphics and Game Center multiplayer very soon.
The PQ2 update will be available at the end of February or beginning of March, and of course, it will be free for those who’ve already bought the game. In addition to online Game Center multiplayer and support for Retina displays, this update will add language support for Italian, French, German, and Spanish.
We asked if Puzzle Quest 2 will also receive online leaderboards and an endless/survival mode in the future as well, but Namco wasn’t saying anything about that yet. We hope they do add leaderboards soon, because our Game Center achievements are getting lonely without a worldwide ranking by their side.
