Big Fat Lies Trivia Game First Look

Most trivia games we’ve seen are multiple-choice affairs that deliver each question with four possible answers. This is not the case in Big Fat Lies, from Night & Day Studios, which offers you a literal Devil’s bargain between two completely absurd statements.

The game’s basically a big stockpile of “Believe It Or Not” errata, provided by Mental Floss Magazine, with a bit of a game show theme wrapped around it. Mental Floss has some real humdingers in here; did you know that Sherlock Holmes author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was deathly afraid of magnifying glasses? No? That’s because it’s a bald-faced lie! But we were fooled by equally preposterous claims that turned out to be true, like the original name for Back To The Future (“Spacemen From Pluto”).

This game costs $2.99, which we think is a little high given its simplicity. On the other hand, it will equip you with a huge supply of annoying anecdotes, which always come in handy.

We suggest watching the video in HD, because the text in the SD version isn’t very legible.
