The best game you aren’t playing this week - Thumb.Run
I originally heard about Thumb.Run on <a href=”http://www.producthunt.com” rel=”nofollow”>Product Hunt</a>, downloaded it and ignored it for a while. But then I decided to launch it and an hour goes by and my phone battery dies. Yeah, I like this game, so I think I should write about it.
Thumb.Run is a game where the players run around a course that looks like it’s from a platformer game. Three laps against an opponent, fastest time wins. Seems simple, but it’s deceptively difficult, maddeningly addictive, and loads of fun. There are new runners to unlock and power ups available along with multiple courses. It’s $0.99 and worth a look if you like fun.

Freeverse heritage lives on in Fish!
Flick Fishing was one of the original great fishing arcade games on iOS. Well Freeverse got swallowed by ngmoco:), which was swallowed by DeNA. And DeNA really only hits our radar these days because they are making mobile games for Nintendo. So Freeverse is long gone, but not forgotten.
But, the heritage lives on in Fish! from Strange Flavour. If you liked Flick Fishing, or like fishing games, give this a shot. Also available for Apple TV, which is a bonus.

Train Conductor World Leaves the Station Right on Schedule
The folks at Voxel Agents are a little obsessed with trains and with making really good train games. And that’s OK. Or great if we are talking about Train Conductor World.
Starting out on a European map, the game combines multi-level train routing puzzles with quick thinking and collecting. Expanding the rail map leads to new cities and new types of puzzles to solve. It’s a really well thought out puzzle game that turns the level map on it’s ear by letting the player control where to go next by where they lay the train track pieces.
A great follow up to the Train Conductor series from Voxel Agents!

Clash Royale Sees Worldwide Release (Finally!)
Clash Royale has been a major consumer of my time over the past couple months. I have been heralding it as the best game ever seen and now it’s available for all to play.
This game could be described as MOBA-lite or Hearthstone-lite. But really it’s neither. It’s a mash up of so many genres that it’s almost it’s own. Great game mechanics that are a ton of fun and it’s actually a game that take skill, timing, and planning.
In speaking to friends it seems like this game is really sticking with people that didn’t really take to Clash of Clans. A dream come true for a company like Supercell. So if you did or didn’t like Clash of Clans, give this a shot, it might be your next favorite game.

_PRISM - amazing first published game from Stugan Indie Academy
_PRISM is an impossible world that delivers itself with a series of amazingly beautiful geometric puzzles. Each puzzle introduces new mechanics and styles that must be adapted to in order to solve the puzzle.
While some of the puzzles can be a bit repetitive, they are all beautiful and a joy to complete.

Crashlands "Holy Wompits, This is Amazing" - 5/5 from Touch Arcade
Crashlands is simply an excellent game that is a lot of fun to play. Every time I open the game to check something really quickly for this review, I end up playing it for another hour. It’s the most enjoyment I’ve had with any crafting game, and is honestly one of the best games I’ve played on iOS. It’s exceptionally rare for a game that has both open world emergent gameplay and a linear main quest to not drop the ball on one of those things or the other, but Crashlands nails it on all counts. Consider this one an absolute essential.

BattleHand is "a cut above the rest" - 3.5/5 from Gamezebo
… BattleHand certainly packing in plenty of content. However, it feels artificially extended by that cumbersome way of dealing with energy. It’s deep enough to make you want to play for a long time, but instead it’s casual gamers that will glean the most benefit, being able to dip in and out for a fight or two. Still, at least it’s a cut above the rest in many of the ways that count.

Traffic Rider - "a fully-fledged racer" - 4.5/5 from Touch Arcade
Using a motorcycle to split lanes and weave in and out of traffic, you’ll navigate linear tracks on your way to a finish line. The catch is that cars have a mind of their own, accelerating or braking in odd places. It’s tough to really get anywhere at all times, but the control scheme is so good that it will help facilitate your way through that challenge.
I was surprised by how much depth Traffic Rider has, and it’s in my regular rotation at this point. With responsive controls and a uniquely programmed set of AI cars to navigate, this one will keep you busy for a while.
