Rovio’s Angry Birds are still household names as far as mobile mascots go, but the brand isn’t bringing in the money it used to. AppAdvice’s Brent Dinks looks into the issue further.
While anything Angry Birds-related is still a big hit at my house, I can see how the global phenomenon is fading – just a bit. In the long term, Rovio will need to come up with other popular game franchises to thrive. But with the obsession over freemium titles in the App Store, can the company compete?
Everyone’s (and I mean everyone’s) favorite YouTuber Lonnie is a pretty big fan of Hungry Shark Evolution. If you’re looking for a sharp and brilliantly well put together arcade shooter with a few new ideas, then this is definitely worth checking out.

This massively multiplayer online game is a hit in China, and it’s starting to catch on in the rest of the world, too. One compelling thing about Taichi Panda is that its combat is all action-based. It’s not the first MMOG to let you personally bash your enemies, but it’s preferable to being hands-off. More importantly, it has pets – and it starts you off with one once you clear the tutorial. It’s almost funny how much more invested you get in the game once you have a pet to fight beside you. You wind up saying to your foes, “Punch me, stab me, fry me – but keep your damn dirty demon paws off my ice turtle.”
