Remember Double Fine’s hugely successful Kickstarter pitch for a new adventure game? The one that kind of kicked off the whole crowd-funding madness in the videogame world? The game is called Broken Age, and they’ve just released a trailer. Watch it below.
The trailer depicts a handful of humans having peaceful fun: eating dinner together, enjoying a roller coaster ride, lounging at the foot of a tree. But the music slowly turns tense to the point that you just know something bad is going to happen. And indeed it will. Here’s Double Fine’s description of the game on its website:
Broken Age is a point-and-click adventure telling the stories of a young boy and girl leading parallel lives. The girl has been chosen by her village to be sacrificed to a terrible monster–but she decides to fight back. Meanwhile, a boy on a spaceship is living a solitary life under the care of a motherly computer, but he wants to break free to lead adventures and do good in the world. Adventures ensue.
Sounds pretty great, right? Even if you didn’t help fund the game through Kickstarter, you can still toss some money Double Fine’s way to preorder the game here.
