Sometimes a froggie needs a few extra minutes to straighten his tie and make sure his skin is at its greenest. That’s why famed indie developer Daisuke “Pixel” Amaya needs a little more time to work on his upcoming iOS game, Gero Blaster.
Pixel announced Gero Blaster back in March. The revelation was accompanied by a trailer, and from what we can tell, Gero Blaster has a lot in common with Pixel’s best-known game, Cave Story. In other words, we can look forward to retro-style graphics, simple but compelling chip tunes, and lots of running and gunning.
We just have to wait a little longer. Earlier this week, Pixel announced on his blog that he’s delaying Gero Blaster to make it a “more fun and exciting game.” Frogs and guns already sound like a fun and exciting mix, but Pixel certainly knows best in this case.
Gero Blaster was initially supposed to launch in May. The new release date hasn’t been revealed yet, but we’ll croak it from atop a lilypad as soon as it’s revealed.
