Big Game Night: Six-Guns, Batman Arkham City Lockdown, and More

The holiday gaming push keeps going with this week’s big game releases on the App Store. Tonight, we’ll see new games from Gameloft, Warner Bros, and Chillingo, plus Ubisoft’s Michael Jackson: The Experience HD. Read on for your advance look, and come back to download these titles at 8pm Pacific tonight.

Gameloft’s open-world Western seems to draw inspiration from Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption, but this open-world game won’t cost you a thing to download. However, there are a number of optional items to buy, like extra ammo or health. If you can ignore the paid options, Six-Guns looks like an exciting old-time adventure.

Batman: Arkham City Lockdown

We hadn’t heard about a new Batman iOS game from Warner Bros until today, so details are scarce about this new game. It appears to be a one-on-one fighting game, where you play as Batman and battle arch-villains like The Joker, Two-Face, and Deathstroke. It seems a bit pricey, so you may want to wait for our review before buying– unless you’ve got Bruce Wayne’s cash.

Mini Motor Racing

We really enjoyed Binary Mill’s iOS space shooter, Assault Squadron, so we were interested to hear that they were working on a cutesy arcade racer for their next project. Finally, Mini Motor Racing hits the App Store tonight, so check out our hands-on preview for more details.

Michael Jackson The Experience HD

Michael Jackson’s music and moves live on in this extremely detailed Ubisoft tribute. You perform Michael’s famous dance moves by tapping and swiping on the screen, like making little circles to have him spin in place. The backgrounds are all recreations of MJ’s most famous music video sets, so if you grew up watching MTV in the 80s, this is the right music game for you.
