Big Game Night: Breach & Clear, R.Type, and More

    We’ve seen loads of big games hitting the App Store lately, but tonight is a little quieter. As the clocks strikes 11 p.m. EST, you’ll be able to download a game about counter terrorists, a dogfighting sim, and more. Read on for our list of the biggest games launching tonight.

    In this tactical strategy game, you assemble and control a team of counter-terrorists as they burst through doors, killing every bad guy in sight. With all manner of weapons to choose from, 15 missions, and whatever creative strategies you can conceive to get the job done, Breach & Clear looks like tonight’s best bet.

    Sky Gamblers: Cold War

    This excellent series about airplane dogfighting keeps on trucking. Each installment takes place in a different real-life conflict. The latest installment pits the ‘Mericans against the Ruskies in a series of undocumented covert operations. As usual, the game has a lengthy single-player campaign, plus a meaty assortment of extra single- and multiplayer modes. If air combat is your thing, look no further.

    Pac-Man Dash!

    The old pellet gobbler is back, but this time he’s starring in an auto-runner. The game comes with a number of stages (like City and Underground) and a bunch of “missions” that ask you to do things like jump 40 times. Doesn’t sound revolutionary, but hey, it stars old Pacs and it’s free. Might be worth a look?

    Kamikaze Pigs

    If you want to see your screen filled with a jumble of flying pigs, bullets, and falling bombs, look no further than this latest title from Chillingo. The game has 50 levels spread over five battlefields, as well as weapon upgrades, and a plentiful helping of chaos. Watch the trailer to get an idea of the kind of madness you can expect.
