    The 50 Best Game Series on iOS: Gun Bros

    In the past few years, Glu Games has moved from making paid games like Super KO Boxing 2 and Cops & Robbers to freemium downloads like Contract Killer, Deer Hunter Reloaded, and Stardom: The A-List. But before freemium gaming was as common on the App Store as it is now, one series changed the way we looked at free-to-play games. Glu’s Gun Bros set the stage for action-focused free games, with optional payments for bigger weapons, which has divided opinions among players.

        Rockstar Releases Grand Theft Auto: iFruit App For GTA V

        The main character of Grand Theft Auto IV used his in-game cellphone to manage contacts and menu options, and now Rockstar is making the leap to your real-world iPhone with the Grand Theft Auto: iFruit app. This free app tie-in for GTA V provides a “second screen” experience, letting you customize your vehicles and train a virtual Rottweiler for use in the main game.

          Infinity Blade III Hands-On Preview

          At last week’s iPhone 5S unveiling, Epic also announced Infinity Blade III, the latest in their groundbreaking swipe-combat series. iOS gamers won’t have to wait long to download IB3, since it’ll be available on the App Store next week, but we had a chance to play through it a few days early. The good news is that Infinity Blade III is still a stunning-looking game, and it adds a few minor features that complement the combat.

                Racing Sim 2K Drive Arrives On The App Store

                2K’s answer to GT Racing: Motor Academy and Real Racing 3 recently arrived on the App Store. 2K Drive is a realistic driving simulator that features licensed cars, real-world locations, and online multiplayer. For those gamers who were opposed to Real Racing 3’s freemium pricing model, 2K Drive costs a hefty $6.99 to download, with optional in-app purchases.

                      Fist of Awesome Hands-On Preview

                      Last year, a pixelated beat ‘em up called Fist of Awesome (from the creator of Hard Lines) reached its Kickstarter goals to undergo development for PC, Mac, iOS, Android, and Ouya.  After months of fighting bears and “punching up” the humor, the developers have let us know that Fist of Awesome is nearly ready for wide release.
