We built this city on blood and shivs. Ubisoft has announced that its upcoming mobile title, Assassin’s Creed Utopia, is a simulation/strategy hybrid for iOS and Android. The game is set in America’s early colonial period, and players can see first-hand how the assassins helped shape the United States’ original 13 colonies.
The 17th-century settlement that you build serves as home base for the assassins (make sure they respect property lines, or else land battles might turn ugly very quickly). You can watch your colony and your assassins grow over a 150-year time period, from the assassins’ first arrival to the New World all the way through the Revolution.
Indeed, Assassin’s Creed Utopia shares its thematic content with the upcoming Assassin’s Creed 3, though Ubisoft stresses that the games aren’t linked beyond story and setting.
All building and no fight makes Jack a dull assassin, which is why Assassin’s Creed Utopia allows you to engage in 3D battles with your pals. Alternatively, you can ask your friends to take down your enemies in “limited time epic battles”.
Assassin’s Creed Utopia will be available this winter.
