Apple has just announced that it will release a 128GB version of its fourth generation iPad on February 5. This higher-capacity iPad will be available in black and white, and will cost $799 for the Wi-Fi model and $929 for the WiFi + Cellular model.
Previous iPads capped out at 64GB, so the new model provides a significant amount of extra storage space. This is good news for iOS gamers (with a lot of money to spare) because nowadays it’s not unusual for games to be in the 1GB range.
There’s no word on 128GB versions of the iPad Mini, iPhone, or iPod Touch, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see those later this year.
