Activision Releases Free Prototype-Themed Game, Protoslice

Activision today announced that they’ve released a free iOS game to promote the upcoming console game Prototype 2. The iOS app, called ProtoSlice, is based on the game Slice SD and contains Prototype-style infected blades along with early screenshots for the console game. You can download ProtoSlice here for iPhone and here for iPad.

Slice and ProtoSlice are both about holding back blades with one finger, while you press a red button with another. In the later stages, you’ll have more and more blades to manage, forcing you to turn and twist your hands in order to avoid getting virtually sliced. You can also call in the assistance of another player for some multitouch co-op (highly recommended).

To go along with the new ProtoSlice app, Slide To Play is giving away five Prototype 2 t-shirts on our Facebook page! Just head on over, and leave a like and comment if you’re in the U.S.
